Dr. Heidi McLean was born and raised in Truro, Nova Scotia.
She began her academic journey at Memorial University of Newfoundland where she earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree, graduating with distinction.
With a keen interest in human kinetics, body mechanics and manual therapy, she continued her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. Here, she obtained her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, graduating with clinic honors.
Dr. Heidi practices using a diversified, evidence-based, and active patient involvement model of care focusing on pain relief and improved structural function.
She is also a certified Contemporary Medical Acupuncture provider and has taken courses in Graston, Activator Methods, and muscle release therapy techniques.
Dr. Heidi is a member in good standing of Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors and the Canadian Chiropractic Association, and she has a strong belief in continuing education and regularly expands her clinical skills through various manual therapy, exercise, educational and rehabilitative courses, seminars, and workshops. She strives to work with other healthcare providers to offer a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare and provide the best care possible to her patients.
On a personal note, Dr. McLean is a wife, mother, animal lover, soccer fanatic and book enthusiast.
